ご参考までに私が用語をどうするか検討するときには、ファイルを全体検索して他のページではどう記述されているかを確認しております。
markerを記号とするかマーカーとするかですが、どちらでも意味自体は通ると思います。他のページの様子を見てみると記号という文字はTypstのコード上で"#"や"@"やコンパイル後の絵文字などをSymbolというのでそれらと差別化する意味ではマーカーの方が良いかと思います。以下参考です。

マッピングについては、それを含む文が直訳だとなかなかイメージが難しいため、意訳してしまってもよいかなと思いました。コメントにて意訳の例を示します。

気になっている箇所は以下の通りです。
For total control, you may pass a function that maps the list's nesting depth(starting from{0}) to a desired marker.におけるmapを「マッピング」と訳しましたが、「割り当て」などのほうが適切でしょうか？
